galwaychamber.gifGalway Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with a membership of over 600 businesses, is the premier business organisation in Galway City and hinterland.



Galway Chamber is a privately constituted organisation that works for the interests of businesses, and for the economic development of the City and Region. It represents all sectors of business life in the area and member companies ranging from sole traders to large corporations and multinationals.



In 1996, Galway Chamber was the first Chamber of Commerce in Ireland to be awarded the Q Mark by the Irish Quality Association (now Excellence Ireland), and scored 91% in its re-audit in March 2001. We are committed to providing a range of quality business services and ensuring customer satisfaction. In June 1997 Galway Chamber was one of the first two Chambers to be awarded ‘Accredited Chamber Status’ by the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland and we have retained the award to date.

Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industry strives to make Galway and its hinterland the most progressive economic region in the country and the most attractive place to do business, to visit and to live’ is the yardstick by which we measure our activities. These activities include representation for business, lobbying on behalf of business, providing opportunities for business networking, encouraging mutual business support between members and provides a range of benefits and business services described on this site.

Provides representation for business in the City. The Chamber is the focal point for business in Galway. It is the first point of call for people seeking information on business and it is the voice of business in the City.

Provides members with an opportunity to promote their business through the Chamber membership.
